Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR)

As part of its ambitious plans to lead Scotland’s university sector in advancing female entrepreneurship, QMU has appointed Carolyn Currie as its first Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR). Carolyn is CEO of Women’s Enterprise Scotland. As a highly respected business leader and champion of female entrepreneurship, this appointment will help encourage and support more staff, students and graduates to develop their entrepreneurial skills.

As well as supporting our QMU community, Carolyn will drive forward the University’s goal of becoming a leading centre for excellence for female entrepreneurship.

As a university without borders, QMU’s Entrepreneur in Residence will help QMU influence the wider food and drink, creative, healthcare and business industries to strengthen entrepreneurial activity across the country. Carolyn’s appointment will also assist the University in its ambitions to establish a Women’s Business Centre within its planned Innovation Hub – part of the Edinburgh Innovation Park.
