Postgraduate Study

Master your future at QMU

Postgraduate study at QMU can help you climb the career ladder in your current profession, can allow you to change profession, or can be the foundation for an academic career. All our postgraduate courses aim to be professionally and socially relevant to the world we live in and are focused on developing and enhancing your skills and career options.

We offer a wide range of postgraduate courses in the areas of management, business, occupational and arts therapies,  health, creativity, education, global health and public relations.

Flexible routes

Many of our postgraduate courses have a particular focus on upgrading your qualifications and skills whilst limiting disruption to your existing work priorities and personal life. A high number can be studied part-time or have an element of online learning, offering you a variety of flexible learning options.

Teaching informed by our research expertise

Our teaching is informed by our research activity and our academic staff have close links with industry, professional bodies, governmental and non-governmental agencies. This ensures that we’re listening and responsive to the needs of employers and that our teaching, and your skills, are up to date and relevant.

Opportunities to study single modules

You don't need to commit to a full named award (eg MSc, MA). You can opt to study individual modules from many of the courses listed on our website (see individual course pages for information). As little as one module will enable you to further your knowledge in your chosen area.

So why not step ahead at QMU? See our full range of postgraduate courses or read more about reasons for studying with us.

Discounts for QMU graduates

We are offering a 10% discount in postgraduate tuition fees for alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University’s Edinburgh campus. This discount is available for students who register for a full or part-time postgraduate degree.

This discount applies to home and international students, and applies to the self-funded element of the postgraduate tuition fee only. Self-funded fees include those supported by a tuition fee loan. This discount does not apply to any part of the tuition fee which is covered by a scholarship, funding body, your employer, a company, or any other source of funding.

(Want to know about our approach to coronavirus?  See the coronavirus section of our website. The University remains open and continues to provide opportunities for prospective students to engage directly with us.)
